Leslie Sansone's Walk to the Hits : Radio Remixes
Walk to the Hits: Radio Remixes

This video is full of features similar to many of her other videos. There are mile markers to let you choose how far you have walked. You can also choose to walk one, two, or three miles at the beginning of the workout. My favorite feature is the option to walk with the instruction or just the music playing.

Leslie Sansone has been encouraging other in their fitness journey for 25 years. She is the creator of the Walk at Home program. When you start this video you are met with a motivation and encouragement while getting your walk on. She is motivational without being condescending. The others in the video look like they are having fun and bring a bit of their own flavor to the workout. .

Pros

The music is more recent than many of her other videos.
The workout uses high intensity interval training, which lasts about 20 seconds to increase your heart rate.
It boosts your walking workout up to the next notch.
Leslie Sansone is upbeat and motivational.
The backup team is fun to watch and look like they enjoy the workout.

Cons

There is quite a bit of jumping and jogging, so it is not joint friendly.
I would not consider the music as hits and they were rather repetitive.
I would have liked it if she had offered low impact alternatives to jumping jacks and jogging.

My Experience

I received this video about a month ago. I have been using it about three to four times a week. I have enjoyed the workouts as I have with all of the Leslie Sansone videos I own. This is the first video I have used where she uses high intensity interval training. I enjoyed the short bursts of increased intensity. It helped to get my sweat on and we all know how important that is. However, I wish there were more of them throughout the workout. This isn’t a beginner video, mostly because of the impact level. The jumping and jogging would make it difficult for a beginner. I walk with my own music after walking with the instructions a few times. I enjoyed it much more once I walked to my own music selection. I would love to see a video on the market with fresh music all the way through the workout.

Recommendation

If you are ready to give your walking routine a small boost, Leslie Sansone’s Walk to the Hits: Radio Remixes fits the bill. If you are a beginner, going from couch potato, this is not the best video to start with. The high intensity interval training makes it a rather quick pace for a beginner. If you are a beginner that is ready to amp up your routine but not quite ready for an advanced program then I would recommend this as a great buy.

Cost: Suggested retail price is $14.98

I received this video for review purposes and did not pay for it myself.
